Hello all,
The time is upon us for IAC Executive Committee
elections. In keeping with the AA spirit of rotation and the election rotation in
most areas of AA service, some of our two-year terms will come to an end in
December.
In the past all Executive Committee positions were
elected every two years. As the Committee met throughout this last year they
realized that this complete rotation stood little chance of maintaining
continuity should all the Executive Committee members change. Therefore the
bylaws were revised to stagger the election cycle so that half of the Committee
is elected each year.
The following positions will be on this year’s ballot
- Deputy Chairperson, Secretary, Advisor II and Technical Liaison. Brief
descriptions of responsibilities for each position are outlined below. Please
note that any IAC member has the opportunity to serve if they so desire. All
that is needed is for you to submit a service resume. This resume outlines your
work within the fellowship and any specific talents which you feel might
contribute to our mission. Once all submissions have been received, the
election will be held and results announced. The election time lines are as
follows
